Mike Fisher has made the pursuit of a bent rod his driving motivation in life. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After multiple stints in college, prolonged by his addiction to fishing, as well as drug addiction and the process of getting sober, he finally graduated.

In a move that some may have considered odd following nine years of college education (no he is not a doctor) he decided to move to Alaska in 2017 to begin his guiding career.

He has been one of the busiest Kenai River guides since then. His enthusiasm for sharing his love of fishing is infectious and is the reason people continue to come back to fish with him year after year.
