Trips consist of either rainbow trout fishing (Catch and Release) or salmon fishing (current allowable state harvest limits apply). Salmon fishing is seasonal and based on the run of fish. Trout are targets year round, but peak in the early fall into early winter. Salmon fishing really picks up in the middle of July when the second run of sockeye show up.
After that the Silver Salmon, or Coho’s, come in late August. These Salmon runs do have their predictable dips but are always subject to nature’s changes. So best to call and get informed with the where, when, and how’s.
What to Expect
Most importantly guests must purchase their own Alaska fishing license as well as food and drink for the length of their trip. The weather in Alaska is unpredictable so always bring a rain coat, hat, and sunglasses. POLARIZED sunglasses make all the difference when fishing, especially when fishing for salmon.
*There is no need to purchase a King stamp to fish with me.
