-
- The Kenai River is renowned for salmon species such as silver, sockeye, and pink salmon.Additionally, you can catch rainbow trout and Dolly Varden.
-
-Over the length of my career I have watched the population catastrophically decline. In 2023 the State of Alaska closed the Kenai River to all King fishing because of the poor numbers.
Even if we were allowed to fish for them, I do not believe that it is right to take people’s money for simply the chance at a BITE, let alone the chance to catch a fish. If watching paint dry is your game, King fishing is for you but certainly not me.
-
- I believe each group that gets on my boat deserves my fullest attention and all of my effort and talent.
Dividing that between groups mixed together in one boat would be equivalent to stealing from both. ot to mention I have been on the trip when both groups don’t mesh, I had to guide that trip a lot coming up the ranks. It sucks. If you are price shopping, or looking for a discount trip, I am not you guide.

- The fishing season varies for different species. Generally, June thru September is prime time, but specific months are better for certain types of fish. Check the Fishing Calendar for the best recommendations.

- Fishing regulations and bag limits vary depending on species and time of year. Trout and Dolly Varden ARE ALWAYS CATCH AND RELEASE. I will ensure you are aware of the current regulations. If we do catch salmon I will clean and filet your fish, then direct you to a local processor who can pack your fish for you. Then you will be able to bring them home either on the plane or shipped.
